  • Your eating and lifestyle practices need major changes or minor tweaks but you are unsure where to start.

  • You want to improve your metabolic health, heart health, optimize body weight, and prevent chronic diseases.

  • You need someone to guide you and help you interpret continuous glucose monitor (CGM) data to reduce your risk of prediabetes, diabetes or improve your hemoglobin A1C and lower your risk of metabolic dysfunction.

  • You would like to learn how to fuel yourself better for your physical activities, the sports event you are training for or your next backpacking trip.

  • You have a lot of nutrition knowledge but need help with applying it and integrating it with personalized nutrition recommendations so you can implement what you know into how you feed yourself in your busy daily life.

  • You could use an expert to help answer specific food, nutrition, metabolism or healthy lifestyle questions.

  • You need a food fairy who can help you increase your competence and confidence in the kitchen and create ease with the daily task of meal planning, cooking, and feeding yourself (and your family).

Through lifestyle modifications focused on improving nutrition and metabolic health, that also include movement, sleep, and the management of stress and environmental risks, you can better nourish your whole self and nurture your wellness.

Meet your coach

Hi! I am Danni Gheleva, Ph.D., R.D.N., C.D.. I have been a nutrition professional for over 25 years and along with my passion for all things food and sustainable eating, I have deep knowledge of nutrient metabolism, human physiology, nutrition therapy for chronic cardiometabolic and neurodegenerative disease prevention and management, as well as nutrition and wellness for active people throughout the lifecycle.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics from Texas Christian University and received a Doctorate in Human Nutrition from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. I have been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist since 1997.

Food and nutrition are my life’s passion and helping people achieve optimum health is my vocation. I have taught nutrition at the college level for 18 years, training future dietitians, nurses, physical therapists, fitness coaches, and other healthcare professionals. I worked for 4 years as a nutrition scientist with a major food company. I have led experiential learning experiences in Mediterranean food culture and sustainable food production in Italy, was a visiting scholar at the Mediterranean Diet Foundation in Spain, and was the founder of the first college-based Teaching (Community) Kitchen in Washington state. I am a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society for Nutrition and the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics.

I am thorough, curious, and detail oriented. I have the knowledge, expertise, and skills to help you reach a place of contentment when it comes to your nutrition status and well-being and assist you in making long-term lifestyle changes through support, accountability, and education. Lastly, I am not interested in promoting a narrow definition of health, or trendy diet plans that capitalize on the thrill of newness, and I am not focused on thinness and appearance. I may not always get things perfect, but I promise to be authentic and put you first.

I can’t wait to meet you.

What are integrative & functional nutrition?

According to the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, integrative nutrition “combines the principles of traditional nutrition guidelines and functional nutrition to provide a more individualized approach to eating and living. It goes beyond basic dietary guidelines to empower people to get more curious about how their food choices impact their unique body, which often supports them in discovering root causes for various illnesses and maladies. …Functional nutrition is the holistic approach to diet, taking into consideration one's lifestyle factors that could affect their food choices, such as activity levels, environment, or the presence of chronic disease.”
